Turambe, meaning ‘Live Longer’ in Kinyarwanda, is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Health, Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC), and the McGovern Foundation, under the national project “Implementing and Digitizing Rwanda’s NCD Strategy.”
Our work begun with digital integration to enhance NCD management capabilities within existing national tools (Open MRS, Muzima) by developing an NCD case management module to support Rwanda’s digital transformation strategy. The aim of the program is to enroll 20,000 underserved patients living with hypertension and diabetes through a community-based healthcare delivery model, with a goal of 50% of patients achieving control within one year.
